PD-2 UAS VTOL Fixed-Wing UAS
Product descripton: PD-2 UAS VTOL Fixed-Wing UAS by Ukrspecsystems
The PD-2 UAS is a ready-to-fly, modular unmanned aircraft system engineered for demanding military and civilian operations across wide geographic areas. Approved and actively used by military forces, the platform combines long endurance, high payload capacity, and advanced autonomy with robust anti-jamming and encrypted communications, making it suitable for missions where reliability and resilience are critical.
At the core of the PD-2 concept is a single airframe with multiple configurations. The same aircraft can operate either as a VTOL fixed-wing UAV or as a runway-based fixed-wing UAV, allowing operators to adapt to mission requirements without purchasing additional airframes. Configuration changes are tool-free and can be completed in approximately 15 minutes, enabling rapid redeployment in dynamic operational environments.
The VTOL configuration enables vertical takeoff and landing from confined or unprepared areas, while the fixed-wing configuration with landing gear maximizes endurance and altitude when runway access is available. This flexibility allows the PD-2 to support missions ranging from ISR, border control, and military reconnaissance to power line inspection, aerial photography, agriculture, search and rescue, and public safety.
The PD-2 is powered by a 100 cc four-stroke gasoline engine running on widely available A95 fuel, paired with an onboard 300 W electric generator. This hybrid architecture supplies power to onboard systems and automatically recharges VTOL batteries during flight, supporting long-duration missions. Integrated engine sensors continuously monitor RPM, temperatures, and fuel levels, while a custom muffler reduces acoustic signature.
For navigation and safety, the system features fully autonomous flight, automatic takeoff and landing, route-based mission execution, auto-return in case of signal loss, navigation lights, braking landing gear, and an ADS-B transponder (subject to regulations). Anti-jamming technologies, dual datalinks, and encrypted communications ensure mission continuity in contested or GNSS-denied environments.
The PD-2 supports a wide range of advanced payloads, including EO/IR/LRF gimbals, LiDAR, SAR, radio repeaters, IMSI catchers, and cargo delivery modules. The USG-400 EO/IR/LRF gimbal and Strix-Online software ecosystem provide advanced ISR capabilities, including live mapping, target identification, reporting, and API-based data sharing.
A portable, vehicle-integratable ground control station with tracking antenna, backup power, and Silvus-based communications enables BVLOS operations beyond 180 km, multi-GCS control, UAV-to-UAV relay, and simultaneous live video distribution to multiple operators and command centers.
Tested under extreme conditions and combat-proven in active military service, the PD-2 UAS delivers a balance of endurance, payload flexibility, operational economy, and mission resilience.
