SPARTAN
Product descripton: SPARTAN by TEMERLAND
The autonomous (unmanned) vehicle control system is designed specifically to replace a human operator in hazardous work conditions, including extreme or emergency environments and repetitive operational tasks.
The system developed by Temerland is implemented and tested on the KRAZ SPARTAN armored vehicle produced by the Ukrainian automobile plant KRAZ. The platform can be equipped with additional military equipment depending on mission requirements.
The unmanned vehicle integrates a full range of sensors to provide environmental awareness, including thermal imagers, multiple camera systems, and radio communication equipment. This enables continuous perception of surroundings in day and night conditions regardless of environmental factors.
The system provides the following functionality:
- Approach and collision alerts
- Driver assistance during manual operation
- Adaptive route optimization
- Operational reporting
- Autonomous movement
- Full dispatcher-based remote control
The vehicle supports multiple operational modes, including autonomous “autopilot” patrol along predefined routes and manual or assisted control via a portable tablet operated by a dispatcher. Communication is maintained through WiFi/WiMAX radio channels with a range of up to 10 km.
GPS-based autonomous navigation allows the vehicle to follow predefined routes while analyzing road edges and detecting obstacles in real time.
