Strix Air is a Ukrainian defence technology company developing scalable, combat-proven drone interception systems to counter UAV threats through modular interceptor platforms and integrated air defence solutions.

Strix Air overview

Strix Air is a Ukrainian defence technology company developing scalable drone interception systems to counter the rapidly growing threat of UAV warfare. The proliferation of low-cost drones is fundamentally reshaping modern battlefields and exposing a critical gap in traditional air defence systems, which rely on expensive and limited missile-based solutions.

The company’s flagship product, the Air Baby interceptor system, is a modular solution that combines interceptor drones, automated launch units, and a unified control interface. Designed for real-world operational conditions, the system enables efficient protection of large areas with a limited number of operators and is actively deployed and combat-proven in Ukraine.

Strix Air is building a new layer of air defence — one that is significantly more flexible, scalable, and cost-effective than legacy systems. By enabling high-frequency, economically viable interception of drone threats, the company addresses the core asymmetry between cheap UAVs and expensive traditional defences.

The platform is designed to integrate into broader defence architectures and is open to integration with third-party detection and tracking solutions, including radars and situational awareness systems. This allows seamless coordination between detection, decision-making, and interception.

By combining in-house drone development with a systems-level approach, Strix Air is positioning itself as a key player in the emerging category of distributed, drone-based air defence systems.
