RS2
Product descripton: RS2 by Textron Systems
The RS2 Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) is a high-torque hybrid diesel-electric tracked robotic platform engineered to operate in the harshest environments while maintaining exceptional endurance, reliability, and mobility. It is designed for mission flexibility across military and dual-use applications, functioning as a robotic “wingman” that supports soldiers in complex operational environments.
The RS2 is capable of navigating extreme terrain including dense jungle, desert, and confined spaces, supported by a zero-turn radius and a simple wireless controller for intuitive operation. Its modular architecture enables rapid integration of multiple mission payloads, making it suitable for evolving battlefield requirements and multi-domain operations.
Built with a low-profile base platform, the RS2 supports a wide range of mission packages including improvised explosive device defeat systems, counter-unmanned aircraft systems, remote weapons systems, and “follow-me” autonomous control. It also provides up to 4 kilowatts of exportable power for mission-critical equipment, extending operational capability beyond mobility.
The RS2 is built on a platform-agnostic, software-defined autonomy architecture featuring a modular robotic software library. This system enables scalable autonomy, cross-domain interoperability (air, land, sea, and underwater), and rapid deployment through standardized communication protocols and cloud-based fleet management tools.
