The new unmanned development Scorpio 2 is a multifunctional robotic platform with the following functionality:
- robot carrier for robots – satellites
- drone launcher – basing point for drones
- platform for installing an automatic turret
- тtractor for processing agricultural land
This platform is a lift for four robots – satellites. The satellites carry out monitoring and repeater functions to increase the communication range between the operator and the «mother» unmanned robotic platform.
The satellite`s lifts are mounted on the rear of the platform and perform the function of lowering down / lifting the satellites from the platform to the ground. The lifts are controlled remotely from a portable command control panel.
One is designed as a ground platform for basing and thrower the drones – bionic birds – SmartBird robots. After launching from a ground platform, the drone performs its functions – a liaison, reconnaissance or strike. Recharging of such drones when performing tasks is carried out on power lines.
The drone launcher is mounted on the top of the platform and has a 360o rotation function. The drone launcher is controlled remotely from a portable command control panel.
The multifunctional fire support and reconnaissance tool of the company level – a battalion for protecting the perimeter and borders:
- provides maneuver with fire
- used to strengthen the platoon (squad) with a machine gun / grenade launcher on a mobile platform
- builds a more effective line of fire during active defense of the company in the presence of three or more units of this equipment
The use of the Scorpio 2 in peacetime is the “tractor” of the plow for processing agricultural land. Due to its maneuverability and small dimensions, it`ll be indispensable for processing small fields and hard-to-reach areas. The use of electric rocket instead of fuel will contribute to the economically rational use of this platform by farms.
