The Saildrone Spectre is the largest and most capable uncrewed surface vessel (USV) developed by Saildrone, designed to deliver persistent naval capability for sensing, strike, and sustained maritime presence. Combining exceptional endurance, high payload capacity, and modular mission systems, Spectre enables autonomous execution of complex naval operations while reducing the need for crewed platforms in contested environments.
Built as a multimission platform, Spectre supports anti-submarine warfare (ASW), intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), electronic warfare (EW), maritime domain awareness, mine laying, air and missile defense, and kinetic strike missions. The vessel accommodates mission-specific payloads in configurable containerized modules and provides up to 250 kW of payload power for advanced sensors and effectors.
Two mission variants are available:
Spectre Silent Endurance
- Optimized for long-duration ASW and ISR missions
- Hybrid diesel-electric propulsion supplemented by the Saildrone Wing
- Near-silent electric propulsion up to 12 knots
- Extended operational range and a 43 m sensor height-of-eye for improved surveillance
- Supports towed arrays, variable-depth sonar, and other acoustic mission systems
Spectre Stealth Strike
- Wingless, low-profile configuration for reduced detectability
- Higher maximum speed for rapid mission execution
- Optimized for strike missions, electronic warfare, and other offensive operations
- Concealed payload capacity for modular effectors and mission systems
