Warbirds of Ukraine is a developer and manufacturer of reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The company focuses on providing aerial systems for the defense of Ukraine in response to Russian military aggression. Its core product line is built around the unmanned aerial system “VALK-1” (also known as “Valkyrja” / “Valk-1 Galka”).

Origins and Development

The project traces its origins to 2015, when a group of volunteers from the “Army SOS” Charity Foundation developed the first UAVs. These systems were successfully used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the Special Operations Forces, and the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. However, limited funding prevented large-scale production at that time.

In March 2022, amid intensified demand for reconnaissance UAVs, the team consolidated its efforts and established a dedicated enterprise — Warbirds of Ukraine Ltd. The new organization focused on scaling production and formalizing UAV development and manufacturing.
